'Zerolene' was the 2nd livery and was released in 1982. The total production run worldwide was only 35,000. This limited availability had two immediate consequences - firstly, very high prices were obtained by both retailers and collectors alike and secondly, large quantities of the model were stock piles for the future. A small run was produced for no apparent reason with the baseplates painted in matt black. It still belongs to the more expensive models.

Livery: (Tampo)
Tank sides: White 'ZEROLENE STANDARD OIL FOR MOTOR CARS'.
Cab sides: White 'STANDARD OIL COMPANY'.
Cab doors: White 'No 7'.
Roof header board: Black 'STANDARD OIL COMPANY'.

Variations/Rarities: It is painted a bright green body and tank with a glossy black or matt black chassis and a white roof.
It usually has gold 12 spoke wheels but the final run has red 12 spoke wheels.

The Zerolene is slightly less common than the other issues but there are no particular rarities to look for although the variant with red wheels is more expensive than the usual gold-plated ones.
